The images are culled from obscure sources.
They are little known, long ago abandoned,
and almost or certainly forgotten. Orphaned,
I gather them in, and give to them new
positions of significance and belonging by
arranging them in various familial gatherings
and situations.
The images themselves are silent, talking
almost about nothing. By bringing them
together and recontextualizing them, that
nothing may become something. Something that
has not quite been before. A language is
created. And although it cannot be read, it
can just almost be understood.
